Thank You for Electing Me Mayor of Lewistown

To: All Residents of Lewistown, Illinois,

Thank you to my fellow residents of Lewistown for choosing me to represent you as Mayor.  I am deeply moved and honored by this expression of confidence in me. I view the role of Mayor as including listening to residents, developing workable proposals to address problems, and building a consensus with both the City Council and residents to adopt solutions to those problems. I could not do this job without the involvement and openness of the people of this community. You have taken the time to share with me your ideas, your concerns, and your aspirations, and I appreciate your willingness to discuss what really matters to you.

Being Mayor of Lewistown is a responsibility that I do not take lightly. I give you my pledge that as Mayor I will consistently work to govern Lewistown with utmost transparency, competence, and effectiveness.
